Public notice is hereby given that the Council of the RM of Moosomin No. 121 intends to adopt two bylaws under The Planning and Development Act, 2007 to amend Bylaw 249/2017, known as the Zoning Bylaw and Bylaw 248/2017, known as the Official Community Plan.

Bylaw 277/19

Intent: To remove reference to the Village of Welwyn and refer to the Hamlet of Welwyn where appropriate in the Official Community Plan and on the Future Land Use Map and Heritage Sensitivity Map.

Affected Land: The proposed bylaws will affect all land within the Hamlet of Welwyn. The Hamlet of Welwyn consists of all land located in NW-35-15-30-W1 as shown on the following map with a dashed line.

Reason: The reason for the Official Community Plan amendment is to address the restructuring of the former Village of Welwyn into the RM of Moosomin No. 121 as the Hamlet of Welwyn.

Bylaw 278/19

Intent: To zone the Hamlet of Welwyn into the Hamlet District, prohibit sea and rail containers in the Hamlet District and to update the table of contents and Hamlet District regulations and the Zoning Bylaw Map. The intent of amendments to the Hamlet District is to improve alignment of the district to the Hamlet of Welwyn, including site requirements and discretionary uses that may be allowed in the district.

Affected Land: The proposed bylaws will affect all land within the Hamlet of Welwyn. The Hamlet of Welwyn consists of all land located in NW-35-15-30-W1 as shown on the map above with a dashed line.

Reason: The reason for the Zoning Bylaw amendment is to address the restructuring of the former Village of Welwyn into the RM of Moosomin No. 121 and zone the Hamlet of Welwyn into the Hamlet District.

Public Inspection: Any person may inspect the proposed bylaws at the RM office during normal office hours. Copies of the bylaws are available at cost. The proposed bylaws will also be available on the RM website at www.RM121.com.

Public Hearing: Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at 10:00 am. The public hearing will be held at the RM office in Moosomin. Any person or group that wants to comment on the proposed bylaws is welcome to attend or to submit comments prior to the meeting. Council will consider all comments received.
